Reformist
Basic principles: update democracy, break the bipartisanship, stimulate Americans to participate in political processes. Symbol: a bison.
The party has been created by supporters of billionaire Rossa Pero which has achieved the largest political success - on presidential elections of 1992 having represented himself as the independent candidate, he has collected 12 % voices.
In 1995 movement in support of Pero was reorganised in political party which used as an ideological basis the book Pero "Together We Wnill Stand or How Can We Get Our Country Back". It is curious, that the initiative of creating ew party was going not from Pero, but from his supporters on places which have persuaded the businessman to enter into new political structure. In 1996 Pero again has nominated on presidential elections already as the candidate of Reformist party, but could only receive 8 % voices.
The reformist party opposes free-trade policies, considering, that because of that American industry "moves" in other countries of the world that makes national economy poorer and more vulnerable. The party traditionally supports reduction of the State expenditure, tax reform, changes in political system of the USA (for example, restriction of lobbyists activity), reforms in public health services and educational sphere etc. By various estimations, supporters of Reformist party are close to 400-500 thousand persons.
