Basic principles: it is necessary to increase influence of the people on decision-making by authorities, it is necessary to struggle more actively for preservation of environment, solving problems in a nonviolent ways. The USA require social justice, in a society it is necessary to raise a role of women. In economy do an emphasis on small business. It is necessary to refuse injurious working out of stocks of minerals, cutting down of woods etc.

The green Party (initially named Association of green parties of states) has been created in 1996. At its formation the European experience of activity of the similar organisations, especially German "green" has been considered. One of party leaders - Ralph Neider, the known lawyer, the founder of a society for protection of the consumers rights. On president elections of 2000 he has got 3 % voices.

The green party has no rigid organizational structure and is a confederation of small parties and public organisations. The party essentially does not accept donations from the large companies. The green party is supported among movements of the left orientation: antiglobalists, anarchists etc. Number of party is unknown, possibly, it does not exceed 100 thousand persons.
